Young Progressives Support Kristy Pagan6/26/14

Michigan Talent Agenda, People for the American Way (PFAW), and the Michigan Democratic Party Youth Caucus recently announced their public support of Democrat Kristy Pagan in her campaign for the 21st district house seat representing Canton, Belleville, and Van Buren Township.  All three of these organization focus on engaging young progressives in the political process.

"I started my campaign seeking to give my generation a voice at the table and to encourage other young people to run for public office," said Kristy, a Canton native who is running to represent her hometown.  "It is an honor to receive endorsements from these three organziations whose goals so closely match my own."

When asked why Michigan Talent Agenda chose to support Kristy's campaign, Co-Founder Ned Staebler said, "Kristy Pagan knows that the key to creating jobs and building prosperity in Michigan is developing, retaining, and attracting talent.  In Lansing, she will fight to improve education, promote transit, invest in successful urban areas, and help create a welcoming climate for all Michigan's residents.  I look forward to working with Kristy to help build a prosperous economy in Michigan."

In addition to Michigan Talent Agenda, PFAW, and the Michigan Democratic Party Youth Caucus, Kristy has also received the support of the young progressives at Michigan Federation of College Democrats and DC-based organization LaunchProgress in advance of her August 5th primary.
